Spreading God's Word

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

John 3:16-17 NIV

I. Our Mission

Our mission at Faith Outreach Community Church (FOCC) is quite simple. Whatever we do, we do it for the glory of God based on 1 Corinthians 10:31. As a church fellowship, we resolve:

  1. To always bring glory to God.
  2. To spread the good news of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom.
  3. To develop disciples of Jesus Christ through the Word of God.

II. Our Vision and Values

FOCC is a Christ-centered fellowship with a "Vision of "Living Life Together in Christ." God did not intend for us to live life alone but with others. At FOCC, we strive to foster a church atmosphere where members are LOVED and SUPPORTED.

We adhere to 1 John 4:19; we love because He first loved us.

L - Loving God and loving our neighbors.

O - Obedience to God and outreach to our community.

V - Virtuous and victorious living through Jesus Christ.

E - Encouraged and empowered to embrace God's eternal purpose.

D - Devoted and dedicated disciples of Jesus Christ.

III. Our Beliefs

We believe in one God, who by the testimony of Scripture, is one divine Being in three eternal, co-essential yet distinct Persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus is the Son of God, by whom and for whom God created all things. As God manifest in the flesh for our salvation, He was begotten of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. As the prophesied Savior of humanity, He died for our sins, was buried, raised from the dead and ascended to Heaven, where He mediates between humanity and God. He will come again to reign as King of Kings over all nations.

The Holy Spirit is the divine Comforter, promised by Jesus Christ, and sent from God to the church on Pentecost. As the third Person of the Godhead, the Holy Spirit transforms humans through repentance, baptism, sanctification, and continual renewal.

The Holy Scriptures, comprised of the Old and New Testaments, are the foundation of truth and the accurate and infallible record of God's revelation to humanity.

The Church is the collective body of all believers, regardless of denomination, who are called by God and in whom the Holy Spirit abides. The Church began on Pentecost and was commissioned to preach the gospel, to teach everything that Christ commanded, to baptize, and to nurture the flock.

The gospel is the good news of what God has done, is doing and will do through Christ, and the central message of the Old and New Testaments.

Marriage is a monogamous union between one male and one female, instituted and ordained by God. According to God's design and intent, sex difference (male and female) is an intrinsic part of the marriage covenant. All sex outside of marriage is a sin. (Genesis 2:18-25, Ephesians 5:22-33 and Matthew 19:5).

We believe God created humanity, male and female in His image; Sexuality and gender are first made known in the creational accounts of Scripture; with each being equal in their dignity but different in their design and calling. The man and woman are then commissioned to "be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion." (Genesis 1:26-28, Genesis 2, Deuteronomy 22:5, and 1 Corinthians 11:3-16.)"
